Our Loving Father in Heaven made our family missionaries to Japan. It was not our master plan, but our Master’s plan. God gently and purposefully moved us across the Pacific ocean to serve one of the least reached people groups in the world… many of whom have never heard of Jesus before. Between 2011 and 2015 my family and I lived in central Ohio. The Weaver family asked for help to establish a school for their children as they were being baptized Seventh-day Adventists and leaving their Amish religion and their children’s school. I was serving in my local church and working a corporate job, but the call for help turned my life toward pioneering mission work for God.
In 2015, our family followed God’s leading to leave corporate work and dedicate our lives to full-time self-supporting mission work. This was a huge step for my wife who embraced absolute dependence on God for financial support. The greatest miracle is when God changes a human heart!
Ten years later God used a rare disease to separate us from our U.S. farm ministry to bring us to Japan. (you can read the details and miracles right here at JapanToday.org). God knew that my wife being born and raised in Japan would equip us with knowledge and the language of Japan. This has been a great advantage to us.
God has inspired us to establish a small home-like health ministry in the beautiful Southern Alps of Japan just outside of the large cities where the local people are crowded together and rarely experience rest from their busy lives, let alone rest in Christ from a conscience hopelessly breaking under the weight of guilt and shame. Our mountain home will serve as a place of rest and learning for locals and hands-on training for other missionaries. We plan to support ourselves through agriculture, our small online natural remedies store DesertRoseSisters.com, service to our local community, and freewill gifts from those that have a heart to advance the work in Japan. As we grow into our Japan ministry, we’ll publish simple literature to call Japanese people to Christ. Please keep us in your prayers.
